Some said the series “The Crown” was a fantastic portrayal of British Royal history. Slow pace as it might be, it generates enough suspense throughout the 6 seasons. Flawless direction and impeccable acting never disappoint viewers. It taught a significant truth that a royal born does not evade all the personal tribulations that all the other commoners go through.

Until George III became king and relocated royal residence to Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace used to be the favorite under William and Mary of Orange in 1689. It remains a residence for high-ranking royals, including Prince William and his wife Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Some parts are open to the public so we can peek at what lies behind the curtains.

Built in 1605, the lavish King's State Apartments starts with the King's Staircase, a dizzying feast of trompe l'œil. The Dining Room in the Queen's State Apartments allowed William and Mary to enjoy a private meal away from the spotlight. Visitors can access Victoria's apartments too, where Queen Victoria knew that William IV had died and she therefore became the monarch.

Next to Kensington Palace, its Gardens were part of Hyde Park and hosted Henry VIII's huge deer chase for over a century. Since William III and Mary II established the palace, they began to create a separate park. Thanks to Queen Caroline, the Serpentine boating lake, the Long Water, as well as the Broad Walk and round pond were built under her commission.

Based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes, the mystery crime drama “Sherlock” has received a standing ovation from the globe. The combination of Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock and Martin Freeman as Watson feels just right. An edge-of-the-seat adventure with Andrew Scott as Moriarty added a new layer to the series and will surely stand the test of time.

Fans trek here to elbow their way over 3 floors of fusty, reconstructed Victoriana. Technically, 221b Baker Street, the address of the Sherlock Holmes Museum itself is a work of fiction. It is in fact located between 237 and 241 Baker Street, even though the Royal Mail agreed to deliver the  post addressed to Sherlock Holmes to the museum. Such a good sense of British humor.

With seventeen steps up, visitors will reach Sherlock’s apartment. Imagine you were a detective as if Sherlock Holmes, could you figure out Sherlock’s deerstalker, magnifying glass and pipe. Besides all these incredible details, there are references to Sherlock and Watson's adventures, including “A Scandal in Bohemia” and, and pictures featuring real local criminals cases.

Dunkirk, a masterpiece by the Christopher Nolan, depicted how the British sent civilian boats and its hard-pressed Navy to evacuate the 400,000 soldiers from the port town. The Allied invaded of North-West Europe and the Germans bombed the soldiers and ships without much opposition. Learn the Normandy Landings, the largest seaborne invasion in history.

Explore HMS Belfast, the floating city on the Thames. During the D-Day, this warship shelled German positions behind Gold Beach and remained offshore for 5 weeks. It took on a new role within the British Pacific Fleet and rebuilt British power in Asia at the end of the empire. In the Cold War, it bombarded enemies in the Korean War and countered the Soviet threat.

With a crew of nearly 1000, Belfast had all the facilities the crew needed to live their lives. As well as places to eat and sleep, along this deck we will also find the ship's laundry, chapel and post office. Attention please. Strict discipline was vital in a warship. Men could be sent to the punishment cells for crimes like drunkenness and insubordination. Get ready on board?
