When the Srivijayan prince of Palembang landed on the shores amidst the storm, he spotted a strange creature identified as a lion and coined Singapura as its name. The half-lion head thus represents this original name; while the half-fish body symbolised Singapore as a fishing village in the past. This is the legendary Merlion, the one and only official mascot of Singapore.

Currently, the Merlion is relocated at One Fullerton near the Central Business District. The water-spouting statue stands at 8.6 meters and weighs 70 tonnes. Nearby this unmissable Singapore icon, visitors could witness some modern architecture, including Marina Bay Sands, the ArtScience Museum, the Singapore Flyer as well as the Helix Bridge.

Singapore remains in its position as a global financial centre even under the impact of the COVID, and it surpassed Hong Kong ranking after New York and London. As metropolitan as it is, this Southeast Asian country spares no effort to conserve its natural environment and build the oasis where locals and foreigners could escape from the hustle and bustle.

At the entrance of the Gardens by the Bay, you will be greeted by the Supertree Grove which offers an unforgettable vista. Home to plants from five continents, the Flower Dome broke the Guinness World Record as the World’s Largest Glass Greenhouse; while the Avatar-like Cloud Forest will redefine the imagination of lush vegetation in this 35m tall mist-filled landscape.

This City in a Garden will never let nature lovers down when you are getting rid of the city buzz. Established in 1859 by the Agri-Horticultural Society, the Singapore Botanic Gardens ranked as the first UNESCO Heritage Site in the country. Discover the rare plants in the rainforest; and immerse yourself in the beauty and serenity of the Healing Garden.

Nothing is replaceable with the exploration of Night Safari. Venturing through the jungle via a tram or on foot allows adventure seekers to encounter over 2,500 creatures in this open air zoo. The creature's talents will amaze you at the Creatures of the Night. Don’t miss the renowned Resorts World Sentosa encompassing Universal Studios Singapore and the S.E.A. Aquarium.

A friendly reminder to party animals: nightlife in Singapore is costly due to the high taxation on alcohol. Instead of getting drunk with Singapore Sling, why not grab coconuts or sugarcane juice in the hawker centers, and savor the joy of black pepper crab, Hainanese chicken rice, or bak kut teh? Don’t belittle the street food as it has UNESCO status with countless Michelin star recipes.
