“When good Americans die, they go to Paris.” This is how the Irish poet Oscar Wilde thought. For many centuries, Pairs left room for us to fall in love, or at least to fantasize the chances. The movie “Paris, je t’aime” showed how to love by exploring 20 arrondissements.

Since the building of the glass pyramid, the iconic entrance allows you to dive into arts…

Ancient art is not everyone’s cup of tea. With the advance of technology, the transformation of immersive art experience blows your mind. In the Atelier des Lumières, the artwork of Van Gogh and Klimt projects in every corner and surface. The choreographed music further allows you to FALL in love with art literally.

4th Arrondissement: Le Marais

A male customer was attracted to a print shop worker. He believed the man was his soulmate. Knowing little French, the man did not get it…

Though the Republic guarantees the peaceful coexistence of the region, the Notre Dame de Paris becomes the soul of the city. Standing along the Berges de Seine, “Our Lady” has inspired the culture industry, including “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” by Victor Hugo, which was adapted into a Disney movie later.

The building of this Gothic cathedral began in the 12th century, yet took over 300 years to complete. The sculptures and stained glass windows were influenced by naturalism. It witnessed some notable coronations, including that of the Emperor Napoleon. God knows how long the renovation will take after the fire.

7th Arrondissement: Tour Eiffel

Eiffel Tower dominates the Parisian skyline. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution, it was built for the 1889 Exposition Universelle by Gustave Eiffel. Standing on the Champ de Mars, the tower has overcome the skeptics of being an eyesore, and becomes a distinctive symbol of the city.

For the 1900 Exposition Universelle, the Musée d'Orsay was installed in a former station. As the first “work of art”, the museum is renowned for its rich collection of Impressionist art. Don’t be surprised by the Statue of Liberty. It was created by a French sculptor to celebrate the 100th anniversary of American Independence.

8th Arrondissement: Quartier de la Madeleine

To attract the vampire, the backpacker cut his wrist. To rescue him from a fatal injury, she shared hers in return. Their love story began…

On one side, it is the Place de la Concorde, accompanied by Luxor Obelisk from Egypt. On the other side, it is the Arc de Triomphe. It was ordered by Napoleon in 1806, in order to honor those who fought for France, their names are engraved. By the way, what is the avenue in between? Welcome to Champs-Élysées.

To better understand the national great men, you should pay a visit to the Panthéon, which is located in the Latin Quarter. It used to be a church dedicated to Saint Geneviève, the patron saint of Paris. The French Revolution turned it into a temple of France. Victor Hugo was the first burial, who made French history.

18th Arrondissement: Montmartre

A man parked his car in Montmartre. Jealous of the couples on the street, he suddenly got the chance to help a faites woman…

Montmartre has appealed to the artists of the 19th and 20th centuries. Fédéric Baron has created one of the most romantic installations, i.e. the Wall of Love. Located in the Jehan Rictus garden square, it features the phrase “I love you” in 250 languages. Love is in the air, but also on the wall in Paris.

The district is a magnet for artists, both alive and dead. The cemetery is home to 20,000 residents, like Alexandre Duma and Dalida. It becomes a sacred place where people pay tribute to their idols. The popularity is no less than the Sacré-Cœur, which offers you the Apse Mosaic and the panoramic view of Paris.

10th Arrondissement: Faubourg-Saint-Denis

A young blind mistakenly believed his girlfriend wanted to break up with him, which triggered him to reflect on the fluctuation of their story…

To escape from the hustle and bustle, the Luxembourg Palace is some of the top ranked options. It has been a residence for the Royal, until Napoléon transformed it into a senator’s office. A 30-minute metro takes you to the Parc des Buttes Chaumont. Caves. Waterfalls. A suspended bridge. And a high viewpoint.

But nowhere is comparable with the Palace of Versailles. Originally a hunting lodge, it was ordered by Louis XIV in 1661. Installing 357 mirrors, the Hall of Mirrors witnessed the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. Marie-Antointette’s lavish life was so loathe that the French Revolution dismantled the front gate.

This UNESCO World Heritage site once had over 60,000 residents, making it a large urban center. When the Palace of Versailles is the epitome of opulence, Paris is the epitome of love, in any form I would say. If one will never forget their first love, will that be Paris for you?
