British weather is infamously awful. A mixture of gray, gloomy and fluctuating temperature. To escape from the depression, nature lovers may consider the following places.

Lake District

From the Roman occupation to the Middle Ages, the northwest area of Lake District was a turbulent area. Successive Kings and rulers fought over the territory. Historians will surely reveal the Celtic monument and monastic ruin.

But the natural scenery actually outweighs any of its man-made attractions. Its geological features upheaval over millennia. Simply enjoy a relaxing picnic upon Hill Top and a stunning circular cruise on Windermere Lake.

Snowdonia

This national park is located in the northwest of Wales. Named Eryri in Welsh, its Study Center offers a spectacular view. We wrapped it up by taking the Welsh Highland Railway, after a refreshing walk nearby the Llyn Mair.

This day trip through Eventbrite turned out to be disappointing due to the wrong route. Glad to have this tailor-made memory. Somehow a smooth trip is not always guaranteed. Still recommend it to nature lovers if time allows.

Travel restrictions under COVID is perhaps a perfect timing to explore the local treasuries. Tell us what your best nature escape is in the UK that pops up in mind.
